Biography
Neil Hannon is a Northern Irish singer, songwriter and composer, best known as the founder and sole constant member of the chamber pop group The Divine Comedy.
Born in Derry in 1970, he wrote the theme tune for the Channel 4 sitcom Father Ted (1995), which was later reworked as the Divine Comedy track "Songs of Love". He also composed additional songs for the series, including "My Lovely Horse", as well as the theme for The IT Crowd.
Hannon has composed for film, writing the original songs for Wonka (2023) and contributing music to Holy Motors (2012) and LOLA (2023).
