Biography
Nella Walker was an American actress and former vaudeville performer. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she began her career in her teens as part of the husband-and-wife vaudeville act Mack and Walker with Wilbur Mack, whom she married in 1910. She made her film debut in 1929 and appeared in more than 100 films over the next quarter-century, typically in supporting roles as society matrons or upper-class women.
Her credits include Trouble in Paradise (1932), Stella Dallas (1937), In Name Only (1939), Kitty Foyle (1940), Hellzapoppin' (1941), The Locket (1946) and Sabrina (1954) as Maude Larrabee. She also reprised the role of Dorothy Craig in the sequel Three Smart Girls Grow Up (1939). Walker retired after Sabrina and died in Los Angeles on 22 March 1971.
