Biography
Nick Cassavetes is an American actor, director and writer. He was born on 21 May 1959 in New York City, the son of actor and director John Cassavetes and actress Gena Rowlands. He began acting as a child in his father's films and later trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
As an actor, Cassavetes appeared in Face/Off (1997) as Dietrich Hassler, as well as The Wraith (1986) and Blow (2001). He has directed films including Unhook the Stars (1996), She's So Lovely (1997), John Q. (2002), The Notebook (2004), Alpha Dog (2006) and My Sister's Keeper (2009). He also wrote the screenplay for Blow (2001).
