Biography
Nick Vallelonga is an American actor, writer, director and producer. Born in The Bronx, New York City, on 13 September 1959, he is the son of actor and bouncer Frank 'Tony Lip' Vallelonga. He began his career with small acting roles in films including The Godfather (1972) and later studied acting in New York.
Vallelonga made his screenwriting debut with Deadfall (1993). He has written and directed several independent films, including A Brilliant Disguise (1994), Choker (2005) and Stiletto (2008). He is best known for co-writing and producing Green Book (2018) with Brian Hayes Currie and Peter Farrelly. The film, based on the experiences of his father and pianist Don Shirley, won two Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture, as well as two Golden Globes in the same categories.
