Biography
Nicola Pecorini is an Italian cinematographer born in Milan in 1957. He began his career as a Steadicam operator and co-founded the Steadicam Operators Association with its inventor Garrett Brown in 1988. He moved to the United States in 1993.
Since 1998 Pecorini has collaborated frequently with director Terry Gilliam. Their joint films include Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), Tideland (2005), The Brothers Grimm (2005), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), The Zero Theorem (2013) and The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (2018). He received the award for best cinematography at the San Sebastián International Film Festival for Harrison's Flowers (2000). Pecorini is married to British actress Caroline Goodall.
