Biography

Nicolás Celis is a Mexican film producer. He founded the independent production company Pimienta Films in 2008 with his brother Sebastián Celis.

He produced Alfonso Cuarón’s Roma (2018), which received three Academy Awards, four BAFTAs and the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Other credits include Birds of Passage (2018), Prayers for the Stolen (2021) and Emilia Pérez (2024), on which he served as associate producer. He has collaborated with directors including Amat Escalante, Tatiana Huezo, Ciro Guerra and Jonás Cuarón.
