Biography
Nicole Scherzinger is an American singer and actress. Born Nicole Prascovia Elikolani Valiente on 29 June 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She studied theatre arts at Wright State University and began her career through the WB series Popstars (2000), joining the group Eden's Crush.
She is best known as the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls. Her acting credits include the voice of Sina in the Disney films Moana (2016) and Moana 2 (2024), as well as the role of Penny Rivera in the 2017 television film Dirty Dancing. She has also appeared in guest roles on series including How I Met Your Mother and Wizards of Waverly Place.
On stage, Scherzinger performed as Norma Desmond in the West End revival of Sunset Boulevard (2023) and its Broadway transfer (2024). She won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2024 and the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2025.
