Biography
Nicole Taylor is a Scottish screenwriter. She was born and raised in Glasgow, where she attended Craigholme School, and graduated from the University of Oxford. Her early television work includes writing an episode of the BBC series Ashes to Ashes (2008).
Taylor wrote the three-part BBC miniseries Three Girls (2017), for which she won a BAFTA for Best Writer. Her feature screenplay Wild Rose (2018) received BAFTA Scotland awards, and she later adapted it into a stage musical that premiered at the Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh in 2025. She served as lead writer and executive producer on the Netflix miniseries One Day (2024). Other credits include The Nest (2020), Indian Summers (2015), The Hour (2012) and The C Word (2015).
