Biography
Nigel Stafford-Clark is a British film and television producer. Born in Bromley, Kent, on 12 June 1948, he was educated at Felsted and Trinity College, Cambridge. He is the son of psychiatrist David Stafford-Clark and the younger brother of theatre director Max Stafford-Clark. He began in television commercials before producing feature films and high-end drama from the 1980s, initially with The Moving Picture Company and Zenith Productions, and later through his own company, Deep Indigo Productions.
His credits include the feature film Stormy Monday (1988) and BBC television series such as Warriors (1999), The Way We Live Now (2001), He Knew He Was Right (2004), Bleak House (2005) and Titanic (2012). He is a three-time BAFTA winner; his productions have also received a Peabody Award, Primetime Emmy nominations and other honours.
