Biography
Norman Fell, also credited early in his career as Norman Feld, was an American actor. He played Mr. McCleery in The Graduate (1967).
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Fell graduated from Temple University with a bachelor's degree in drama. During World War II he served as a US Air Force tail gunner in the Pacific. His first regular television role came in the comedy series Joe & Mabel (1956). He is best known for portraying landlord Stanley Roper in Three's Company (1977–1979) and its spin-off The Ropers (1979–1980), winning a Golden Globe Award for Best TV Actor in a Supporting Role in 1979.
Other film credits include Ocean's 11 (1960) and Bullitt (1968). Fell died in 1998.
