Biography
Norman Gay is a film editor. He began working as an assistant editor in the late 1960s and received his first solo editing credits in 1973.
Gay edited The Exorcist (1973), for which he shared an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing. He served as associate editor on The French Connection (1971) and edited Shock Waves (1977) as well as episodes of the television series The Equalizer (1985–1989).
Gay worked on around twenty film and television productions until the early 1990s. He later served as an administrator for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists in New York City. He is married to Jonina Herter and they have one child.
