Biography
Norman Lovett (born 31 October 1946) is an English stand-up comedian and actor. He was born in Windsor, Berkshire, and began performing stand-up in his thirties on the alternative comedy circuit.
Lovett is best known for playing Holly, the ship's computer, in the BBC sitcom Red Dwarf (1988), appearing in series 1 and 2, returning for series 7 and 8, and later episodes including series 12 and the 2020 special The Promised Land. He has also appeared in Keeping Up Appearances (1990) as Mr Duxbury, The Young Ones (1984), The Bill, and the film Evil Aliens (2006). Other television work includes his own BBC2 sitcom I, Lovett (1993) and Asylum (1996).
