Biography
Oh Jung-mi is a South Korean screenwriter and director. She majored in Russian and English literature at Yonsei University, where she completed a master’s degree on Russian literature, and studied film at the Korea National University of Arts. She has directed the short films Fitting Room (2012) and Mr Cowper (2015).
Her feature screenwriting debut was the co-written screenplay for Burning (2018) with Lee Chang-dong. The film received a nomination for Best Screenplay at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. She has continued her collaboration with Lee on Possible Love (2026). She previously wrote short television dramas and has stage experience.
