Biography
Orestes Matacena is a Cuban-American actor, director, producer and writer. Born on 29 August 1941 in Havana, Cuba, he has been active since the 1970s.
His film credits include Niko in The Mask (1994), the Spanish Dignitary in Wild Wild West (1999), Victor Corsini in Diggstown (1992) and the voice of Burro in the animated series The Wild Thornberrys (1998). He began his career in theatre, appearing in a 1973 production at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in New York.
In 2013 Matacena received best actor awards at the 24FPS International Short Film Festival and the Vaughan Film Festival for the film Caged Dreams.
