Biography
Orian Williams is an American film producer. Born on 11 November 1965 in Jackson, Mississippi, he studied at Baylor University before moving to Los Angeles in 1990. He began working in the industry as a production assistant and later took on roles including associate producer.
Williams is known for his work on Shadow of the Vampire (2000), on which he served as associate producer, and as producer of Control (2007), the Anton Corbijn-directed biopic of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis. He initiated the project by optioning Deborah Curtis’s memoir and persuading Corbijn to direct. Other credits include producer on Sam & Kate (2022), Dreamkatcher (2020) and My Father, Die (2016), and executive producer on The Last Movie Star (2018).
Films he has produced have received BAFTA and BIFA nominations and awards. He has also appeared in small acting roles in several of his productions.
