Biography
Ortwin Freyermuth is a German-American film producer, entertainment lawyer and video game executive. He studied law at the University of Göttingen and the University of California, Los Angeles, completing an LL.M. in 1986 with a thesis on film distribution and copyright law.
In the early 1990s he was CEO of Capella Films and served as co-producer on Shattered (1991) and executive producer on Carlito's Way (1993), The Real McCoy (1993) and other films. He produced the 1997 director's cut of Das Boot. Freyermuth is co-founder, vice-chairman and general counsel of Cloud Imperium Games, which he established with Chris Roberts in 2012 to develop Star Citizen.
