Biography
Owen Kline is an American actor, filmmaker and cartoonist. Born in New York City on 14 October 1991, he is the son of actors Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates and the brother of musician Greta Kline.
He began acting as a child, appearing in The Anniversary Party (2001) and as Frank Berkman in Noah Baumbach’s The Squid and the Whale (2005). Kline later wrote, directed and edited his feature debut Funny Pages (2022). His acting credits also include A Different Man (2024) and the series The Studio (2025).
Kline studied illustration and film at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and worked at the Anthology Film Archives in New York.
