Biography
Owen Moore (12 December 1886 – 9 June 1939) was an Irish-born American actor. He appeared in more than 279 films between 1908 and 1937, beginning with early work for D.W. Griffith at Biograph Studios.
Moore was a leading man in silent films and appeared alongside his first wife, Mary Pickford, in several productions after their secret marriage in 1911. He later worked for producers including Lewis J. Selznick and had his own production company. His brothers Tom Moore and Matt Moore were also actors.
With the coming of sound, Moore's roles became supporting parts. He played Chick Clark in She Done Him Wrong (1933) and appeared as a film director in A Star Is Born (1937), his final screen credit.
