Biography
Pablo González del Amo, also credited as Pablo G. del Amo, was a Spanish film editor. He was born in Madrid in 1927 and died there on 4 August 2004.
He edited numerous films for producer Elías Querejeta between 1963 and 1984, including works by directors such as Carlos Saura, Víctor Erice, and Pilar Miró. Among his credits are The Spirit of the Beehive (1973), Cria! (1976), El Sur (1983), The Ages of Lulu (1990), and Ay, Carmela! (1990).
He received the National Cinematography Award in 1983 and won three Goya Awards for Best Editing, for Divinas palabras (1987), ¡Ay, Carmela! (1990), and Tirano Banderas (1993). He was a founding member of the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences.
