Biography
Patrick McMahon is a film and television editor. Born in Trail, British Columbia, he began his career in New York as an assistant editor on feature films before being promoted to editor on the television series Kojak in the mid-1970s.
He co-edited Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) with Rick Shaine. McMahon later moved to Los Angeles, where he worked on numerous horror and suspense projects, including several directed by or adapted from the work of John Carpenter and Stephen King. He is a member of the American Cinema Editors.
