Biography
Paul H. Allen was an American cinematographer active in the silent film era. He worked on D. W. Griffith productions, serving as camera operator on Way Down East (1920) and contributing to the photography of Orphans of the Storm (1921). He was also credited on Down to the Sea in Ships (1922).
Allen, sometimes credited as Paul Allen, photographed numerous films throughout the 1920s, including Westerns and other features listed in the AFI Catalog. His later credits include Sheer Luck (1931).
