Biography
Paul Porcasi (also credited as Paul Porcassi) was an Italian actor. Born in Palermo, Sicily, he began his career as an opera singer before moving into stage and film work.
He performed on Broadway from 1916 to 1928, notably as Nick Verdis in the long-running production of Broadway (1926–1928). He reprised the role as Nick the Greek in the 1929 film adaptation. Porcasi appeared in more than 140 films between 1917 and 1945, often in supporting or uncredited roles. These included the French Headwaiter in The Gay Divorcee (1934), Monsieur Feronde in Tarzan and His Mate (1934), and Native Introducing Ferrari in Casablanca (1943).
He died on 8 August 1946 in Van Nuys, California.
