Biography
Paul R. Gurian is an American film producer and screenwriter. Born on 18 October 1946 in New Haven, Connecticut, he produced short films including The Garden Party (1973) and the television film Bernice Bobs Her Hair (1976) before making his feature debut as producer of Cutter's Way (1981).
He subsequently produced Peggy Sue Got Married (1986) and The Viking Sagas (1995), for which he also wrote the screenplay, and served as executive producer on The Seventh Sign (1988) and Arizona Dream (1993). Earlier, after attending Staunton Military Academy and briefly studying at New York University, he ran a bakery and wine shop in Vermont and collaborated on films with director Jack Sholder.
