Biography
Paul Satterfield was an American animator and director. He began his career at Walt Disney Productions as an animator on several animated shorts in the late 1930s, including Farmyard Symphony (1938), Boat Builders (1938), Ugly Duckling (1939) and Beach Picnic (1939).
Satterfield directed the 'Rite of Spring' segment of the animated feature Fantasia (1940). He later served as sequence director on Bambi (1942). His other credits include directing the short A World is Born (1955, uncredited) and writing the short Wheels of Progress (1953).
