Biography
Paula Elsa Jacobs (1932–2021) was a British actress. She made her first television appearance in Z-Cars in 1962 and went on to work in television and film for four decades.
Her film roles include Mrs. Kessler in An American Werewolf in London (1981) and Mrs. Mortimer, the cook in The Remains of the Day (1993). Television credits include Hammer House of Horror (1980), Maud Wilberforce in Jeeves and Wooster (1990), The New Statesman (1989), Casualty (1989–1995), Drop the Dead Donkey (1994–1998) and Mrs. Bosworth in Midsomer Murders (2002).
In 1953 she married the actor David Swift. Their daughter, Julia Swift, is also an actress.
