Biography
Penny Irving is a Scottish actress and former Page 3 model for The Sun newspaper. She appeared in the BBC sitcom Hi-de-Hi! as Mary in 1980 and 1981.
She is best known for playing Miss Bakewell in Are You Being Served? from 1976 to 1979, and for her role as Sandy in the 1976 film The Likely Lads. Other credits include House of Whipcord (1974), Carry On Dick (1974), Aces High (1976) and Are You Being Served? The Movie (1977).
Irving's television work also includes appearances in Dad's Army, The Two Ronnies and The Professionals. She was active from 1972 to 1981.
