Biography
Peter Bennett is a British television producer who has also worked extensively as a first assistant director and in other production roles. His first assistant director credits began in 1976 with the film Emily and include feature films such as The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001), Alexander (2004) and Syriana (2005), as well as television series including Doctor Who and Torchwood.
He has served as location manager on several James Bond films and as production manager on Doctor Who. In 2009 Bennett produced the Torchwood serial Children of Earth. This led to his appointment as a producer on the fifth series of Doctor Who in 2010, alongside Tracie Simpson. He returned in the same role for the eighth, ninth and tenth series (2014–2017), working with Nikki Wilson.
Bennett has also produced the CBBC series Wizards vs. Aliens (2012–2014).
