Biography
Peter Greenhalgh was a British cinematographer. He worked extensively in television drama and factual programming, and was a member of the Guild of British Camera Technicians.
His credits include the 2004 BBC adaptation North & South, Agatha Christie's Poirot (from 1989), Clocking Off (2000–2002), Merlin (2008), Jekyll (2007), Ballet Shoes (2007), Upstairs Downstairs (2010), The Secret of Crickley Hall (2012) and The Lady Vanishes (2013). He also served as director of photography on the factual series Ancient Egyptians (2003) and the documentary Colosseum: Rome's Arena of Death (2003).
Greenhalgh won a BAFTA TV Award for Best Photography (Factual) for Ancient Egyptians and received further BAFTA nominations for Clocking Off and Colosseum. He died on 6 July 2015.
