Biography

Peter Høimark (1937–2004) was a Danish production designer and special effects artist. He began his career as a property master on Jan Troell's The Emigrants (1971) and The New Land (1972).

He worked extensively in Danish cinema, serving as production designer on The Element of Crime (1984), Beauty and the Beast (1983), Hip hip hurra! (1987), Ved vejen (1988) and Sofie (1992). He also contributed special effects to several Olsen Gang films and other productions. He received Robert Awards for production design and special effects on The Element of Crime and for production design on Sofie. He was the father of special effects artist Hummer Høimark.
