Biography
Peter Martin was an English actor. He played Ernie in the 1996 film Brassed Off and appeared in numerous television productions, including as Joe Carroll in The Royle Family (1998–2012) and Len Reynolds in Emmerdale (2001–2007).
Born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Martin had roles in series such as All Creatures Great and Small, Last of the Summer Wine and programmes by Victoria Wood. He also worked in stage productions and commercials. He died on 19 April 2023.
