Biography
Peter Turner is a British actor and writer. Born in Liverpool in 1952, he joined the National Youth Theatre at the age of sixteen and went on to work in theatre, film and television.
He is the author of the 1986 memoir Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool, which recounts his relationship with the Hollywood actress Gloria Grahame. The book was adapted into a 2017 film of the same name, for which Turner received a writing credit; he also appeared in a cameo role. His acting credits include Who Dares Wins (1982), The Krays (1990) and Jacob (1994).
