Biography
Philip Bosco (1930–2018) was an American actor. He appeared in numerous films, including as Emily's Father in Wonder Boys (2000), Walter Wallace in My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), Mr O'Brian in Hitch (2005) and roles in Trading Places (1983), Working Girl (1988) and Shaft (2000).
Bosco had an extensive stage career, performing in more than 50 Broadway productions. He won a Tony Award in 1989 for his performance as Saunders in Lend Me a Tenor and received several further Tony nominations.
He also appeared regularly in the Law & Order television franchise and in other series such as Damages.
