Biography
Prunella Gee (born 17 February 1950) is an English former actress, later a counsellor and therapist. She trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where she won the Spotlight Award for Best Actress in 1972, and began her career with a leading role as Anna Fitzgerald in the 1973 Granada series Shabby Tiger.
Her film debut came in 1975 as Rina Van Niekirk in The Wilby Conspiracy. That year she also appeared as Sandy Williams in the The Sweeney episode 'Cover Story'. Gee is known for roles including Patricia Fearing in Never Say Never Again (1983) and Mrs Finney in Stormy Monday (1988), as well as guest appearances in series such as The Professionals (1977) and Hammer House of Horror (1980). From 1999 to 2004 she played Doreen Heavey in Coronation Street.
Gee was married to actor and director Ken Campbell from 1978 until their divorce; they had one daughter. She retired from acting in 2004 and subsequently worked as a counsellor and therapist in London.
