Biography

R.J. Louis is an American film producer and production manager. He began working in production roles in the 1970s, including as location coordinator on Sleeper (1973) and in various unit production manager and production coordinator positions on films such as Messiah of Evil (1975) and The Idolmaker (1980).

Louis served as executive producer on The Karate Kid (1984), The Karate Kid Part II (1986) and The Next Karate Kid (1994). He produced Mac and Me (1988), a project he developed with ties to McDonald's marketing and Ronald McDonald House Charities. His later credits include co-producer on Vegas Vacation (1997) and Ocean's Eleven (2001), and executive producer on Soldier (1998).
