Biography
R. Marcos Taylor is an American actor and stuntman. Born on 16 September 1976 in Plainfield, New Jersey, he is credited variously as R. Marcus Taylor and Richard Marcos Taylor.
He is best known for playing Suge Knight in the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton. Other credits include Baby Driver (2017) as Armie, Marvel's Luke Cage (2016) as Amos, and appearances in Step Up (2018) and The Blacklist (2013). He has also worked extensively as a stunt performer on series including Sons of Anarchy and Gotham.
Taylor has a background in martial arts, with over 30 years of training across disciplines including karate (black belt), taekwondo, Muay Thai (Kru rank) and others. He has won tournament titles and worked as a certified personal trainer, gym owner and instructor.
