Biography

Rael Jones is an English composer and multi-instrumentalist. He graduated from the Tonmeister course in Music and Sound Recording at the University of Surrey in 2004.

He is known for his scores for the films Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2022), My Cousin Rachel (2017) and Suite Française (2014), and the television series Harlots (2017–2019) and My Lady Jane (2024). He composed the music for the 2025 BBC series This City Is Ours.

Jones has worked as a music editor and programmer on films including Steve Jobs (2015) and Le Week-End (2013), and collaborated with director Mat Whitecross on the documentaries Oasis: Supersonic (2016) and Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams (2018). He has received Primetime Emmy nominations and a Golden Reel Award.
