Biography
Ralph Phillips is a television writer whose credits include episodes of Cheers (1982), The Jeffersons (1982), Benson, Fame, Star Trek: The Next Generation (1990), The Twilight Zone (1988), Small Wonder, Beyond Reality and V.I.P. (1999).
He originally planned a career as an actor, appearing in industrial films and working as a comedian, before choosing to write. Phillips was a staff writer on Benson and collaborated briefly with Hans Beimler and Richard Manning on Fame; the pair later introduced him to work on Star Trek: The Next Generation, where he provided the story for the fourth-season episode "Suddenly Human".
