Biography

Ralph W. Brinton (1895–1975) was a British art director and production designer. Born in London, he worked in the film industry from the mid-1930s until the early 1960s, contributing to more than thirty films, often credited as Ralph Brinton.

His credits include art direction on Odd Man Out (1947), Scrooge (1951), Moby Dick (1956), Room at the Top (1958), The Entertainer (1960) and A Taste of Honey (1961), and production design on The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner (1962) and Tom Jones (1963). He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Art Direction (Colour) for Tom Jones.
