Biography
Rebecca Atkinson is an English actress. She is known for her role as Karen Maguire in the Channel 4 comedy-drama series Shameless, which she played from 2004 to 2013 across all 11 series.
Atkinson studied theatre and dance at Preston College. She had earlier guest roles in series including Coronation Street, Heartbeat and The Royal, and has appeared in Life on Mars (2006), Ideal (2005) as Asia, and the film Awaydays (2009) as Sonya. Later credits include River City as Belinda Roberts.
