Biography
Renée Victor was an American actress, singer and dance instructor. She was born on 25 July 1938 in San Antonio, Texas, and died on 30 May 2025 in Sherman Oaks, California.
She moved to Los Angeles in the 1960s and began her entertainment career as a singer with bandleaders including Xavier Cugat and Pérez Prado. She also taught salsa and tango, and performed with her husband as the duo Ray & Renee from 1963 to 1973. Victor joined the Screen Actors Guild in 1973 and later worked in television and film.
She voiced Abuelita in the Pixar film Coco (2017) and appeared as Lupita in the series Weeds (2005–2012). Other credits include Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014), Snowpiercer (2020) and Dead to Me (2019).
