Biography
Richard C. Kratina was an American cinematographer and camera operator. Born in Flushing, New York, he worked primarily in New York-based productions from the late 1960s onwards, often credited as Dick Kratina.
He served as director of photography on Love Story (1970) and co-director of photography on Hair (1979). Other films in which he held principal photography roles include The Sentinel (1977), The Super Cops (1974) and Aaron Loves Angela (1975). He was also a camera operator on Midnight Cowboy (1969) and provided second-unit photography or additional camera work on titles such as batteries not included (1987) and Boomerang (1992). Kratina received a Primetime Emmy nomination for his television work.
