Biography
Richard Gross (1948–2022) was an American actor. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he moved to California as a child and earned a BA in Theatre Arts from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He was active with the Foothill Theatre Company, a regional theatre in Nevada City, before returning to Los Angeles in 1991 to resume his screen career.
Gross appeared in films such as Phenomenon (1996), Hard Eight (1997), Milk (2008) and Swiss Army Man (2016), in which he played Hank's Dad. His television credits include Malcolm in the Middle, 24, CSI: Miami, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and 13 Reasons Why. He also performed in numerous skits on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
