Biography
Richard Partlow is an American Foley artist and actor. Born Richard VanDervort Partlow on 13 February 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas, he began his career as an actor with guest roles in television series including The A-Team, Knight Rider, MacGyver and The Colbys during the 1980s.
Following the 1988 Writers Guild strike, Partlow transitioned to Foley work. He has contributed sound effects to numerous films and series, including Boogie Nights (1997), Jeepers Creepers (2001), Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001) and Battlestar Galactica (2004–2009). He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series for his work on the Battlestar Galactica finale.
Partlow also appeared as the Mayor in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (2008).
