Biography
Richard Tucker was an American actor. He appeared in more than 260 films between 1911 and 1940, including as the Air Commander in Wings (1927) and as Harry Lee in The Jazz Singer (1927). Other credits include Flash Gordon (1936), Libeled Lady (1936) and Road to Singapore (1940).
Tucker was the first official member of the Screen Actors Guild and a founding member of its Board of Directors. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, in 1942.
