Biography
Rob Thompson is an American television director, producer and screenwriter. Active since 1975, he has directed episodes of series including L.A. Law, The Wonder Years, Doogie Howser, M.D., Dream On, Ed, The Chris Isaak Show, Monk and Northern Exposure.
He served as producer on Northern Exposure and was part of the producing and writing team that won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 1992. He also directed the episode "Cicely", which received a Directors Guild of America Award.
