Biography
Tom Moore is an American theatre, television and film director. Born on 6 August 1943 in Meridian, Mississippi, he earned a BA in theatre from Purdue University and an MFA from the Yale School of Drama.
Moore began his career directing stage productions and made his Broadway debut with the original production of Grease in 1972. His other Broadway credits include Over Here! (1974) and 'night, Mother (1983). He directed the 1986 film adaptation of 'night, Mother.
In television he has directed episodes of numerous series, including Cheers (1982), thirtysomething (1987), The Wonder Years (1988), Northern Exposure (1990), ER (1994) and Gilmore Girls (2000). He received Emmy nominations for his work on L.A. Law, ER and Mad About You.
