Biography

Michael Katleman (born 30 June 1960) is an American television and film director and producer. Born in Los Angeles, California, he began directing in the late 1980s after working as an assistant director, with early credits including episodes of China Beach.

He has directed episodes of numerous series, including Northern Exposure, The X-Files (1993), ER, Gilmore Girls, Smallville, Tru Calling (on which he also served as executive producer), The Vampire Diaries and How to Get Away with Murder. His feature film work includes directing Primeval (2007). He is the son of producer Harris Katleman.
