Biography
David Carson is a British television and film director. He began his career directing in British theatre and on series including Coronation Street and an episode of Bergerac (1988).
After moving to the United States, Carson directed episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1989–1992), the pilot "Emissary" and three further episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993–1994), and the feature film Star Trek Generations (1994). His other credits include episodes of Northern Exposure (1990–1991), L.A. Law, Doogie Howser, M.D., Smallville (2002–2004) and One Tree Hill (2003–2004), as well as the miniseries The 10th Kingdom (2000) and the television film Carrie (2002).
He is married to actress Kim Braden; they have two children.
