Biography
Robby Baumgartner is an American cinematographer. He began his career in New York City more than three decades ago, working initially as a gaffer on films including 8 Mile (2002), 21 Grams (2003), Babel (2006) and There Will Be Blood (2007). He joined the International Cinematographers Guild as a director of photography in 2009 and took on second-unit roles on major productions such as The Hunger Games (2012) and Argo (2012).
Since 2014 Baumgartner has concentrated on main-unit cinematography. His credits in this role include The Guest (2014), Blair Witch (2016), Blindspotting (2018), Midway (2019), Moonfall (2022) and Not Okay (2022). Blindspotting premiered in the US Dramatic Competition at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.
