Biography
Robert Addie (10 February 1960 – 20 November 2003) was an English actor. He trained at the National Youth Theatre and briefly at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before leaving to play Mordred in John Boorman's film Excalibur (1981).
Addie appeared in films including Absolution (1978), Another Country (1984) and Intimacy (2001). On television he played Sir Guy of Gisburne in the series Robin of Sherwood (1984–1986) and Gilbert in an episode of Red Dwarf (1989). A keen horseman and polo player, he frequently took roles in historical dramas.
